Windy peak women prt 1.
Last week we spent some time with an inspiring local woman, Stephy Prieto as part of our new series, Windy Peak Women. You may recognize Stephy from some past lookbook photoshoots, but today we get to go a bit deeper with this magical being.
Stephy was born in her parent’s home in the small town of Emigrant, Montana. At a young age, her family moved to Mexico, but then made their way back to the beautiful valley of Montana where she currently resides.
Stephy is an artist and spiritual being, who paints whimsical Nymphs, goddesses, and otherworldly feminine figures. She has created an entire oracle deck, meant to reconnect us with the divine feminine and the wisdom of the Nymph and has another deck in the making. She most recently made a Dream Diary which you can find in our shop.
Stephy’s work is inspired her interest in Greek Mythology, and also her great-grandma, Ninfa (nymph) who was absolutely beautiful. Ninfa would have pictures taken if her in the 1920s, wearing fantastic outfits, and then would write love letters on the photo prints and gift them to her husband Rosendo, Stephy’s great grandpa. Rosendo was in the cane sugar business and showered his wife in jewelry and dreamy dresses. Not only was Ninfa physically beautiful, but she also created beauty with her piano playing and passion for growing orchids.
