Lauren Woods - Dualitas.
For our first journal entry of the new year, we introduce you to Lauren Woods of Dualitas, a local maker, ceramic artists, shop owner, astrologer, teacher, baddie trail runner and all around radiant human being.
Lauren was born and raised in the Mad River Valley of central Vermont, where she first connected with clay in the riverbeds and eventually in her high school ceramics class. After graduating high school in Vermont, Lauren moved to Burlington where she began volunteering at the Burlington City Arts clay studio and then started teaching.
In 2015, Lauren moved across the country to Bozeman, Montana where she continued to teach ceramics classes and opened her very own studio a few years later. Her studio provides her with the creative freedom to create and grow as an artist, while providing space for other ceramic artists in the community.
In 2020, Lauren moved her studio to a bigger space and incorporated a a retail space called Inner Alchemy, into the mix. Inner Alchemy is a beautifully curated shop that supports other local artists and creatives alongside Lauren.
Lauren finds inspiration in nature and you can often find her running the trails in the area (she’s faaaaast). She also loves to read in the sun with her dog, go to the river for a cold plunge, and make good food with friends and family.

On top of everything else she does, Lauren has been seriously studying astrology for the past two years and is now offering a variety of donation based readings. She is looking forward to expanding her Astrological work through readings, group parties, and events.
